ABSTRACT


This research paper aims to analyse and explore the socio-legal aspects of divorce law under Hindu Law in India. Divorce is a significant issue affecting the lives of individuals and families. Hindu Law, based on ancient religious texts and legal provisions, governs the divorce process for Hindus in India. This study examines the historical background, legal framework, and social implications surrounding divorce law under Hindu Law. The research investigates the grounds for divorce, the procedures involved, challenges faced by divorcing couples, and the impact of divorce on various aspects of society. It also offers recommendations for the improvement and modernization of divorce laws to address contemporary social and legal needs.
